The Linux based 802.11a/b/g WLAN Access Points offered by Ascom AR&T is based on the Atheros AR5002AP-2X chipset and has been designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions including
those found outdoors. The product may be tailored to suit different customer applications including
avionics, transport systems (trains and buses), automotive, WiSP and fixed wireless access.
The AP contains two independent radios and MACs enabling it to support 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g and 5 GHz
802.11a concurrent dual-band operation.

3. Real-time data compression
4. Packet bursting for enhanced throughputThe product may also be operated in Station mode. It includes up to 32 Mbytes of SDRAM, and 16Mbytes of
Flash for program storage. The hardware also includes two 100 Mbps full-duplex Ethernet interfaces and built-in antenna diversity operation. The software is based on a open Linux platform and can be easily extended to provide additional features and services.
