Broadband Satellite Platform Designed for Smaller Networks Compact DW NOCCX

Hughes Network Systems, LLC announced recently, the introduction of its new, scalable broadband satellite platform, the DW NOCCX. The DW NOCCX is the ideal Network Operations Center (NOC) solution for service providers and enterprises with small initial network requirements, yet incorporating all the features and functionality of a large system NOC in a cost-effective and scalable package.

The DW NOCLX is optimized for smaller networks. Incorporating numerous advanced features and industry leading acceleration and compression technologies, the compact DW NOCCX can be readily expanded as traffic growth justifies, enabling rapid provisioning of the full suite of DIRECWAY® services from a single comprehensive platform.

“HNS has experienced an increasing demand worldwide for broadband services from all market segments, including many start-up service providers and small- to medium-sized enterprises,” said David Jupin, vice president of international product marketing at HNS. “Our DW NOCCX is designed specifically to satisfy this demand for an ideal, entry-level solution that is scalable, yet without compromising on features and functionality.”

The DW NOCCX is housed in a compact, single-rack configuration. With the addition of an expansion rack, it can be readily scaled to manage larger networks while supporting the entire suite of DIRECWAY services. It guaranteed inroute bandwidth and fair access features enable service providers to efficiently provision multiple grades of service on the same platform. The DW NOCCX supports outbound data rates up to 48 Mbps and aggregate inbound data rates up to 26 Mbps.

The DW satellite broadband infrastructure is the most advanced and widely deployed system worldwide. Well over 100 enterprises and service providers rely on DW NOCs to manage their broadband satellite operations.
