Hittite Microwave Corporation, recently announced the release of a new surface
mount pHEMT MMIC Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) for fixed wireless, CATV, microwave
radio and cellular/3G basestation and repeater applications from 0.3 to 3.0 GHz.
The device (HMC374) is a high dynamic range PHEMT MMIC LNA and delivers 1.5
dB noise figure, +37 dBm output IP3 and 15 dB small signal gain at 900 MHz.
This MMIC LNA is a broadband device and requires no external matching, is
unconditionally stable. It operates from a single supply voltage from +2.75V to
+5.5V. It has several advantages over a discrete implementation including higher
reliability, better consistency, less PCB area, and reduced component count.
The HMC374 SMT MMIC Low Noise Amplifier is housed in a SOT-26 package, and is
also available as the RoHS compliant HMC374E. Samples and evaluation PC boards
are available from stock and can be ordered on line. Released data sheets are
available on-line at www.hittite.com. Please contact earthfriendly@hittite.com
for details on the availability of “lead free” & RoHS compliant products
from Hittite.
