First Galileo satellites to be launched by end of 2005

The first few satellites of Galileo GPS system are expected to be launched by the end of 2005. The commercial operations are planned to begin from 2008 according to the Council of European ministers on Galileo project. Deployment is due to take place between 2006 and 2008.
