WITec Wissenschaftliche Instrumente und Technologie GmbH
  Profile in Brief

WITec was founded in 1997 by Olaf Hollricher, Joachim Koenen and Klaus Weishaupt as a spin-off from the Universität Ulm. WITec manufactures high-performance instrumentation for scientific and industrial applications focused on solutions for Optical and Scanning Probe Microscopy.

The products and services offered by the Company include the following:

  • AlphaSNOM - The design of the Alpha-SNOM features a Confocal Microscope (CM), a Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscope (SNOM) and an Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) in a single instrument.
  • CRM 200 - a Confocal Raman Microscope
  • UHTS 300 Spectroscopy System - Used for Raman Microscopy and applications with low light intensities
  • Mercury 100 AFM - An AFM system for the materials research and nanotechnology markets.
  • Pulsed Force Mode - The Pulsed Force Mode (PFM) is a non-resonant, intermediate-contact mode for Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
  • Digital Pulsed Force Mode - The Digital Pulsed Force Mode extends the possibilities of Atomic Force Microscopy and Pulsed Force Mode Measurements.
  • Modular Product Line - The modular design of the WITec microscopy system provides upgrade possibilities for the highest flexibility over a wide range of high-resolution optical and scanning probe microscopy applications.

Technical product application notes and other documentation is available as free download at the manufacturer's website.
