Magneticasoft is based in France and primarily involved in the development of
Magnetica™ software, used for magnetic field analysis, and design. The general
and technical properties of the software are given below.
General capabilities of the Magnetica™ software include the following:
- Analysis of magnetic systems
- Magnet design
- Magnet field shielding
- Mathematical modeling of the magnetization curve
- Education on Magnetism and Magnetostatics
Availability: Windows, Macintosh or workstation
Technical capabilities of the software include the following:
The software is based on popular Mathematica software. Magnetica proceeds by
direct integration of the first MAXWELL equation. It uses surface current
simulation of materials magnetization.
Magnetica™ offers the choice of 2 modes of calculation:
1) A method derived from the vector potential which is applicable to all space
including the winding and the magnetic materials.
2) A method using spherical harmonics which is restricted to the space without
magnetic field generator.
Magnetica™ permits the calculation of the magnetic fields at any point of the
space, including the winding, with very good precision. Field analysis can be
obtained either as numerical values, tables or graphics 2D or 3D field map,
field lines, field vectors and contour map.
The Magnetica™ software is provided with a large number of typical magnets
design, magnets analysis and magnetostatics related problems. These examples are
a very useful guide for any newcomer of the software.
